Donation Information

India is going through an unprecedented crisis with its second and third wave of Covid 19, devastating cities towns and villages, attacking lives, livelihoods, the economy and well-being of entire communities.

If you follow my Instagram, you know how much I love India. I have often posted images taken there. It's the country I have traveled to more than any other. It is a place that holds so much beauty and kindness. While we move towards a more immunized society in the United States, with more freedom to travel, it is important to remember that this pandemic is GLOBAL; it is not over until everyone is safe. It is essential to recognize that as one world, this is far from over.

There is a terrible shortage of oxygen, medicine, and hospital beds and the surge is continuing to cripple the health care system. Think back to the to darkest days of last year and then open your heart to donate to this beautiful country in need of help on a mass scale.

I appeal to you to help one of the hardest hit communities, India’s incredible artisans. Everyone is struggling, but craftspeople have been hit especially hard. Without the reserves to survive another year of no sales and orders, and the impact of lockdowns, sickness and loss, small artisans are at breaking point. Some crafts will be lost forever.

One hundred percent of the profits from my print sale will go to a variety of relief organizations:

  • The Dastkar Artisan Relief Fund - working for 40 years with artisans from over 25 states.

  • Give India

  • Project Mumbai - providing hospitals home bound people with oxygen and other life saving supplies during this second wave of Covid.

  • Khaana Chahiye - started as a citizen led campaign against hunger in early March of 2020. They are striving to ensure that the most vulnerable populations have access to food. They are distributing meals and grocery kits.

  • Feeding From Far - working with NGO Prayatna distributing food in Mumbai to those severely affected by the pandemic.

Please donate directly or buy a print to support. It is so very important.

Thank you!
